PROTECTING
70 MILE HOUSE
The 70 Mile House Volunteer Firefighters Association is your community's first line of defense. We are dedicated volunteers—your neighbors, friends, and fellow community members—ready to respond 24/7 to protect lives, property, and our shared environment.
Deeply Rooted in Community
We are more than just first responders; we are an integral part of the 70 Mile House fabric—a close-knit team of dedicated volunteers who live, work, and serve in this community.
From structural fire suppression and wildland firefighting to highway rescue operations and emergency medical assistance, our mission is comprehensive. We ensure that every resident and visitor feels safe, supported, and protected.
Our association is built on the core values of bravery, reliability, and unwavering commitment to service. We also prioritize community education, teaching fire prevention and safety in schools, community centers, and public events throughout the year.
Constant Readiness
Excellence through continuous training and preparation.
Our volunteers undergo rigorous, ongoing training to stay prepared for any emergency scenario. Whether responding to a structural fire, a motor vehicle accident on Highway 97, a medical emergency, or a wildfire threat, we ensure our team has the skills, knowledge, and confidence to act decisively when seconds count.
Training includes basic firefighting operations, HAZMAT response, CPR and first aid certification, vehicle extrication techniques, and specialized rescue operations. We conduct regular drills and scenario-based exercises to maintain peak performance.
